While both sides described the discussions as positive, the students said they would continue their agitation until concrete action is taken on their demands. According to the students’ delegation, the government acknowledged that their demands were genuine and assured them that the issues would be examined.
However, the protesters said they would not withdraw the agitation at this stage. Student leader Ravindra Paswan said the first round of talks was encouraging. “This was our first meeting. It felt very positive. Sitting with everyone felt like family. It was a really positive meeting. We are confident that the government, the Chief Minister and all ministers will consider our demands genuine," he said. Another member of the aspirants’ delegation said the demands had been formally placed before the government and more discussions would follow. “Demands have been placed before them. Further discussions will be held. The protest continues. Our issues were taken seriously. They will speak with the CM. A solution will be brought about," the student representative said. Jharkhand Minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu also described the meeting as cordial and said the government was willing to examine the students’ concerns.
“We had a meeting with the students in a cordial atmosphere. We understood the demands of students. The government is committed to deliberate on the students’ demands seriously," he said. Despite the government’s assurance, the aspirants maintained that the protest would continue until their demands were addressed. Why Are JPSC-JSSC Aspirants Protesting? The JPSC-JSSC protest has been continuing in Ranchi, with thousands of aspirants demanding action over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC). Protesters have sought greater transparency in the recruitment process, a fair investigation into alleged examination irregularities and timely filling of government vacancies. The agitation intensified after aspirants accused the authorities of delaying recruitment and failing to address concerns over the conduct of competitive examinations. The state government has now initiated talks with the students in an attempt to resolve the issue, though the protesters have made it clear that demonstrations will continue until they receive concrete assurances and action.
