Deputy Chief Minister K.S. Eshwarappa has made it clear that he will go nowhere other than the BJP. Speaking to reporters after offering prayers at the Chamundeshwari temple atop Chamundi Hills in Mysuru on Friday, Mr. Eshwarappa said several people, including senior leaders of the BJP, were making efforts in the direction of his return to the party.
Stating that he had brought several issues to the notice of the senior party leaders with regard to strengthening the party, he said he was hopeful that they would accept them. Several people who built the BJP are disheartened over the party’s current condition.
While pointing out the need for changes within the party, Mr. Eshwarappa said he had not set any conditions for rejoining the party. Pointing out that the BJP was in his blood, Mr. Eshwarappa said he would surely return to BJP “today or tomorrow”.
Reacting to Urban Development Minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah’s statement against Hindu Rashtra, Mr. Eshwarappa expressed optimism that India would become a Hindu Rashtra under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
