Puttaparthi MLA Palle Sindhura Reddy on Friday said investments worth about ā¹1.51 lakh crore were being implemented in the Puttaparthi Assembly constituency, with major projects expected to generate employment and spur regional growth. Addressing a pattadar passbook distribution programme at Goonipalli village in Bukkapatnam mandal, Ms. Sindhura Reddy said the coalition government had accelerated development and welfare initiatives during its two years in office, compared with the previous YSRCP governmentās five-year tenure.
She said work had commenced on a fifth-generation fighter aircraft manufacturing project, estimated to cost ā¹1 lakh crore, on 650 acres in Puttaparthi under the Union Ministry of Defence. The MLA said a 6,000 MW solar power project, proposed at Amadagur in collaboration with Reliance Industries, would involve an investment of about ā¹51,300 crore and span 30,000 acres.
Describing the projects as āgame changersā for the constituency, she said they would create substantial employment opportunities for local youth. Sindhura Reddy said the coalition government had repealed
the Land Titling Act enacted by the previous YSRCP government and was issuing new pattadar passbooks bearing the State emblem and farmersā photographs to safeguard their land rights.
