Second Meeting Between Pawar And Kishor Prashant Kishor met Sunetra Pawar at her official residence, ‘Devgiri’, in south Mumbai on Thursday. According to NCP functionary Sanjay Khodke, no details of the discussion were disclosed after the meeting. This was the second meeting between Kishor and Pawar since the death of her husband and former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a plane crash in Baramati earlier this year. After their first meeting a few months ago, NCP leader and Sunetra Pawar’s son, Parth Pawar, had said that Kishor had known the family for a long time. NCP Says Meeting Focused On Party Organisation The meeting came days after Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party registered a major victory in the Bankipur Assembly bypoll in Bihar, where he defeated the BJP candidate in his electoral debut.

NCP spokesperson Suraj Chavan said the discussion centred on strengthening the party’s organisation in Maharashtra. He said Kishor is advising the NCP on organisational rebuilding and that the meeting was attended by Sunetra Pawar, MP Parth Pawar and other senior party leaders. “It was an internal meeting to discuss how to strengthen the party and ensure development programmes of the government reach the grassroots," Chavan said. He also dismissed speculation that Kishor had expressed dissatisfaction with the functioning of NCP state president Sunil Tatkare or suggested his removal.
