During the interaction, the 50-year-old was asked how she balanced raising three children while managing demanding careers in television and politics. Addressing working mothers in the audience, Irani said those years often pass in a blur because mothers are constantly juggling professional commitments with parenting responsibilities. “They needed to get the job done. That they needed to feed their kid. That they needed to make sure that the homework was done, that they needed to make sure that their PPT was equally ready.

She also reflected on how quickly children grow up, joking about the transition from caring for infants to handling teenagers who talk back. “How many of you wondering that I was just cleaning the nappy and now this person is talking back to me?"
