The attackers, waiting on a motorcycle, fired multiple rounds, leaving the victim critically injured and hospitalised. The attack was reportedly driven by extortion and ransom demands. Following the incident, police swiftly spotted the fleeing suspects and initiated a highway chase.
During the interception, the two gangsters, who hail from Punjab, sustained bullet injuries to their legs. The targeted businessman reportedly has political affiliations within his family. Authorities are investigating the extortion angle as the victim undergoes medical treatment.
