A confident start from the Sri Lanka XI openers. Nishan Madushka and Ravindu Rasantha have negotiated the new ball well, showing plenty of patience against India's experienced pace attack of Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna.
There has been the odd play and miss and a few testing deliveries, but the duo have largely looked composed, leaving well outside off stump and punishing anything that has drifted onto the pads.
India have asked a few questions in these opening overs, but the breakthrough continues to elude them. The visitors will hope Siraj or Prasidh can soon find that extra bit of movement to break this steady opening stand.
