A political row has erupted following the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's outreach to Gen Z, where the organisation's leadership backed the democratic right of youth to protest and described agitation as a tool for system correction rather than confrontation. Supporting student movements, the leadership emphasized dialogue, mutual understanding, and the genuine nature of youth grievances while rejecting claims that protesting youth are anti-national.
The outreach also called for sweeping education reforms, including allocating six percent of the national budget to education and reducing the financial burden on students. However, the Congress party launched a sharp attack, accusing the organisation and the ruling party of dressing up hatred in new packaging and attempting to divide society on caste and religious lines. Congress leaders asserted that while the vocabulary of outreach has been updated, the underlying ideology remains unchanged, warning against efforts to misguide the younger generation and disrupt social harmony.
