The Central Bureau of Investigation charge sheet accessed by India Today has revealed the detailed sequence of events and modus operandi behind the NEET paper leak. According to the document, experts contracted by the Testing Agency for translating question papers into regional languages were key accused in the breach. Accused PV Kulkarni, appointed to translate the chemistry paper into Marathi, memorised 45 questions along with their options.
Translators Manisha Karande and Manisha Havaldar followed a similar method for physics and biology papers. The paper sequence was jotted down by a small group of 10 to 15 students during covert coaching sessions. The handwritten questions were converted into PDF files, shared on Telegram, and circulated from Latur to Haryana and Rajasthan, where printed copies were sold for 10 to 12 lakh rupees.
