Sulur sexual assault-cum-murder: police get three-day custody of two accused

• The Special Court for POCSO Act cases in Coimbatore on Wednesday (June 3) granted the police a three-day custody of the two accused in the case pertaining to the alleged sexual assault-cum-murder of a 10-year-old girl near Sulur on the city outskirts recently.
• Karthi (35) Mohan (31) of Pallapalayam, were produced before the court amid tight security by the police.
• Karthi was brought to the court in an ambulance and on a stretcher as he had allegedly fractured his right arm and right leg while attempting to escape from the police on May 22. He later suffered assault from four convicts in the Coimbatore Central Prison during judicial remand.
