States such as Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Jharkhand and West Bengal are likely to experience repeated spells of thunderstorms over the next few days. Wind speeds may reach 40-50 kmph, with gusts touching 60 kmph in isolated areas. The weather department has also warned of squally weather and isolated hailstorm activity in some regions as monsoon systems become more active. Rain Forecast For Other States The national capital is also expected to witness more rain on Thursday.
According to the IMD, Delhi may experience light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds during the day. Another spell of very light to light rain is likely during the night, bringing relief from the recent spell of hot weather. Northeast India Weather Update: Assam, Meghalaya to Receive Heavy Rain Rainfall activity is expected to remain widespread across Northeast India throughout the week. States including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are likely to receive fairly widespread to widespread rainfall, with isolated heavy showers at several locations.
