Tejpal was accused of sexually assaulting the woman on November 7 and November 8, 2013, in an elevator at a five-star hotel in Goa during the 'ThinkFest' event organised by the magazine.
He was acquitted by a trial court in May 2021, but the Goa government appealed against the order in the Bombay High Court, which set aside the acquittal and convicted him.
