Commuters travelling on Bengaluru Metro’s Green Line on Friday (August 7) night should expect a temporary reduction in train frequency on a section of the corridor, as the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) will conduct joint trials and inspections ahead of the induction of new trainsets supplied by CRRC.
According to a press release issued by BMRCL on Thursday (August 6), the joint trials will be carried out with officials from the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) on Friday (August 7) night, ahead of the main CMRS inspection required for introducing the new trainsets into service.
As part of the temporary operational changes, up-line services from Yeshwantpur to Madavara will run at 20-minute intervals instead of the usual 10-minute frequency between 10.30 p.m. and 11.00 p.m., until the end of revenue service for the day. However, down-line services from Madavara to Silk Institute will continue to operate according to the regular timetable without any changes.
BMRCL has advised passengers travelling on the affected section to plan their journeys accordingly and cooperate during the temporary operational adjustment.
