The Andhra Pradesh State Document Writers Association staged a protest demanding the government to withdraw the proposal of establishing of Registration Seva Kendras (RSKs), which, it claimed, would lead to complications during registration of properties as the youngsters appointed in RSKs might not have experience in document presentations. Establishing of the RSKs would have an impact on the livelihood of nearly three lakh document writers, DTP operators and supporting staff in their offices, the association’s State president Penumaka Venkata Subba Rao on Thursday said, adding that property documents needed to be verified carefully before the registration and fill in the blanks type of registrations might lead to many legal complications for the property buyers as well as sellers.

”RSKs might provide livelihood to nearly 18,000 people across the State but take way the livelihood of nearly three lakh people. Moreover, RSK system is not suitable since the youngsters to be appointed may not have

experience in writing and understanding the fake documents and ill motives of sellers,” Mr. Rao said. He added that their issues were brought to the notice of the Minister for Revenue Anagani Satyaprasad and senior officials

of the registration department in Amaravati. He said that two-week-long protests organised across the State evoked good response from the property buyers also since they were also worried about their hard earned money spent for buying properties.
