Delhi Police have arrested two alleged members of a Tamil Nadu-based interstate gang accused of travelling to the capital by train, targeting parked vehicles and stealing valuables before returning home. Police said on Thursday that the gang would break car windows and take laptops, mobile phones and other electronic items left inside. Gunasekar, 42, and Gokul M, 27, both from Tiruchirappalli, were arrested on Wednesday after police laid a trap following a tip-off. Four laptops, three laptop chargers and a mobile phone were recovered, and police said these were linked to four theft cases registered at Roop Nagar, Ashok Vihar and Govind Puri police stations.

Police said they examined CCTV footage, traced the suspects' escape route and used the Facial Recognition System to identify three gang members as residents of Tiruchirappalli. According to police, the gang allegedly avoided carrying mobile phones so their movements and communications could not be tracked.
