Reacting to the Bombay High Court's conviction of Tarun Tejpal, the survivor's mother said the verdict has lifted a "heavy weight" off the family's shoulders after years of pain and uncertainty. Calling it the end of a long and difficult legal battle, she said the family drew strength to persist through repeated setbacks and expressed gratitude to the Goa government, lawyers and supporters who stood by them in their pursuit of justice.
