Future City Police Commissioner Tarun Joshi on Wednesday (June 3) directed officers to prioritise cybercrime prevention, road safety, anti-narcotics enforcement and monsoon preparedness as part of a comprehensive policing strategy aimed at strengthening public safety across the commissionerate.
During a review meeting, the Commissioner instructed officers to identify flood-prone and waterlogging areas and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely emergency response during the rainy season.
Special emphasis was placed on creating public awareness about online frauds, digital arrest scams, fake investment schemes and social media-related crimes.
Officers were directed to ensure prompt registration and investigation of cybercrime cases and conduct awareness programmes in schools, colleges, villages and public places.
The Commissioner also called for strict enforcement against drunken driving, overspeeding and other traffic violations, alongside regular road safety campaigns promoting helmet use, seat belt compliance and responsible driving.
