Two young Kozhikode entrepreneurs are set to launch an app that will enable eateries to sell surplus food at discounts of 60% to 80% during closing hours.
Kyka, meaning ‘let’s eat’, was founded by Muhammed Nihal V.
and Hiba Nourin K.P.
The app is built on a ‘triple impact model’ that offers affordable food to customers, generates additional revenue for partner eateries and helps reduce food waste, said Mr. Nihal.
On the app, eateries will be listed with a brief description, allowing customers to order small, medium or large ‘Magic Bags’.
