Job aspirants in Jharkhand have staged protests over delays, alleged recruitment scams, and paper leaks in competitive examinations conducted by recruitment bodies like JPSC and JSSC. Engineering graduates and aspirants highlighted that very few examinations have been conducted over the past twenty-six years, leaving hundreds of engineering seats vacant across government departments. Candidates stated that despite repeatedly writing to officials, meeting department heads, and raising issues during assembly sessions, they received only assurances.
Demonstrators are demanding a CBI and ED probe into alleged recruitment scams, cancellation of tainted examinations, fresh transparent recruitments, a fixed annual recruitment calendar, and stricter measures against paper leaks. Protesters also called for judicial intervention from the Supreme Court to expedite pending court cases related to examinations and ensure accountability in the state recruitment process.
