The Kerala High Court has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe alleged irregularities and quality lapses in the procurement of ghee for the Sabarimala temple. The court noted that low-quality ghee was supplied despite objections raised by the Devaswom Commissioner regarding tender procedures and mandatory quality checks.
A vigilance report revealed that state-owned Milma ghee was allegedly replaced with substandard ghee during transit.
