The Jharkhand government has initiated talks with students protesting in Ranchi over alleged corruption and lack of transparency in competitive examinations, including the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and JSSC exams. Officials including the ADM Law and Order and SDO Ranchi met the demonstrators at the stadium to receive a memorandum detailing demands for systemic reforms and the postponement of the JPSC mains examination following allegations of large-scale bungling in the prelims.
The outreach comes after Chief Minister Hemant Soren assured concrete solutions to the ongoing agitation, which has also drawn attention from activist Sonam Wangchuk. Subscribe to India Today for NEW VIDEOS EVERY DAY and make sure to enable Push Notifications so you'll never miss a new video.
