Apple earned over $10 billion revenue in India According to a Bloomberg report, Apple generated more than $10 billion (roughly Rs 95,000 crore) in revenue in India during the fiscal year that ended in March 2026. This is the first time the company has reached the milestone in the country.
The report says Apple's revenue grew at a double-digit rate compared to the previous year, when it recorded around $9 billion in sales. Apple has not officially commented on the figures. 2. iPhones remain Apple's biggest money-maker The iPhone continued to be the biggest contributor to Apple's India business. While sales of iPads and MacBooks also increased, the report says iPhones accounted for the majority of the company's revenue. Despite premium pricing in India, Apple has managed to attract more buyers by offering trade-in programs, student discounts and bank cashback offers. These schemes have made expensive iPhones more accessible to customers looking to upgrade. 3. India is becoming more important for Apple Although India still contributes only a small portion of Apple's global revenue, its importance is growing rapidly. With sales slowing in China and competition from local brands becoming stronger there, India is emerging as one of Apple's key growth markets outside the US. The company has also been expanding its retail presence.
Apple recently opened another official store in Mumbai, taking its total number of company-owned stores in India to six. Along with premium resellers and its online store, Apple now has a much stronger retail network than it did a few years ago. 4. India is now a manufacturing hub too India is no longer just an important market for Apple, it has also become a major manufacturing base. The company now has five factories producing iPhones in the country, and the report claims that around one in every four iPhones is now made in India. The country has also become the primary source for iPhones exported to the US, reducing Apple's dependence on China for manufacturing. 5. Strong sales come as iPhone 18 Pro price hike rumours grow Apple's record India revenue comes at a time when speculation around higher iPhone prices is heating up. The company recently increased the prices of several MacBook and iPad models in India by as much as Rs 1 lakh, although iPhone prices remained unchanged.
