India has strongly rejected Pakistan's decision to observe August 5 as a 'Black Day' in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), calling Islamabad's narrative an attempt to divert attention from the worsening human rights situation in the region. Responding to a question from Times Now, the Ministry of External Affairs said Pakistan's local elections in PoK are a 'complete farce' and cannot hide the reality of public protests, repression and violence.
