Tamil Nadu Leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin reacted following his release from police detention, accusing the Vijay government of using diversionary tactics and deliberately misquoting him. Addressing reporters after leaving the Thanjavur police station, Stalin affirmed that he will not be intimidated by false cases and denied allegations of demeaning women, stating his upbringing and family values forbid such intent.
He questioned the state government's actions, claiming nearly 3,000 police personnel escorted him 400 kilometres from Chennai to Thanjavur at public expense as if he were a terrorist. He added that he was taken to Sengipatti police station for questioning before being released.
