The region has been engulfed in severe unrest, public demonstrations, and violent clashes involving local authorities, the Pakistani military, and the Joint Action Committee over the past two months. Issuing a special message directed at both the Pakistani government authorities and the leaders of the Joint Action Committee, Salahuddin called for immediate reconciliation and stressed the urgent need for sincere dialogue to end the ongoing power struggles. Expressing deep frustration over the escalating situation, the Hizbul chief condemned the two months of continuous bloodshed in what he termed a free region, warning that the internal strife has turned into a source of global disgrace and ridicule. He stressed that the ongoing exchange of bullets, loss of life, and destruction of property are inflicting severe damage on the morale of Kashmiris who have looked to the region for support over the past seven decades.

Questioning the rationale behind the escalating tensions, Salahuddin asked whether violence and force have become the only method to settle disputes. He raised a stark alarm regarding national security, pointing out that the ongoing internal power struggles come at a critical time when borders are growing increasingly vulnerable to enemy infiltration and external threats, presenting a formidable security challenge. Concluding his appeal, the Hizbul chief urged all involved parties to abandon provocative statements and stop adding fuel to the fire. He called on both the government administration and the Joint Action Committee to step back from the confrontation and make genuine, earnest efforts towards mutual understanding and peaceful resolution.
