A fire broke out at an under-construction building of the Mother and Child Hospital at the Government Medical College Hospital, Thrissur, on Tuesday. Smoke was seen billowing from the third floor of the building.
Hospital authorities said the structure was still under construction and was not being used to accommodate patients. The fire is suspected to have been caused
by a short circuit. Fire and Rescue Services personnel brought the blaze under control, and no injuries or casualties were reported.
