(PTI file photo) Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday sought to pacify the students protesting over the alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC exams, saying that the government “is sensitive to the issue" and that the students will get “justice" soon. Speaking to reporters in Ramgarh amid ongoing student protests, Soren said the government was closely monitoring the issue and was awaiting the findings of the investigation being conducted by the concerned team.

He also said the government would take necessary steps based on the outcome of the probe. “All the necessities of the students will be met, and they will get justice," he added.
The Chief Minister’s remarks came amid growing protests by students over alleged irregularities in examinations. CBI Grills E JPSC Chairman Earlier on Monday, former JPSC chairman L Khiangte was questioned by Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officials for nearly seven hours in connection with alleged irregularities in JPSC examinations, an official said. This marked the fourth round of questioning faced by the former chairman. Khiangte appeared before the CID around 11 am and left the agency’s office at around 6 pm, the official added. He was previously questioned for nine hours on July 28 and for eight hours each on July 29 and July 31. Khiangte resigned as JPSC chairman on July 22, a day before the CID conducted searches at several locations, including his official residence, as part of its probe into the alleged examination irregularities. On July 27, Khiangte said he had “voluntarily chose to resign" to ensure that the investigation into the matter remained impartial.
