Symbiosis Technologies Chief Executive Officer and Andhra Pradesh Air Travellers Association vice-president O. Naresh has urged the State government to improve civic infrastructure and strengthen road connectivity between Vizianagaram, Bhogapuram and other parts of north Andhra to reap the developmental benefits of the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport.
He was speaking at a seminar on “New investment opportunities with the construction of the airport”, organised jointly by the Chamber of Commerce, Vizianagaram, and Rotary Club Central in Vizianagaram on Tuesday. Naresh said planned and sustainable development would be possible only if the government sought suggestions from all stakeholders in the region while implementing infrastructure projects linked to the airport.
Chamber of Commerce president Kapuganti Srinivas, Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation director Madipilli Rama Rao, event coordinator Arisetti Mukesh, GITAM Technology Enabling Centre Assistant Manager Ramadevi Bankpalli and others participated.
Representatives of various organisations resolved to submit a memorandum to the government seeking early development of civic infrastructure, improved connectivity, employment opportunities for local youth and other measures to support the region’s growth.
