From September 1, 2026, Telangana government would not make payments for internet service provided by private operators to government offices. IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu directed officials to ensure all of the offices receive internet services exclusively through T-Fiber.
Besides, instructions were issued to accelerate implementation of the State’s flagship ‘Internet to every home’ initiative. The T-Fiber officials were directed to ensure that internet connectivity is provided to all government offices within the stipulated deadline of September 1 and make arrangements to provide the service to the Future City project, in Hyderabad periphery, as well.
The migration from Telangana State Wide Area Network (T-SWAN) to T-Fiber has to be completed in a month. The Minister directed officials not to make
payments to private internet service providers from September 1.
