Synopsis Tata's Agratas unit is developing its own lithium iron phosphate battery technology. This move comes as China tightens export restrictions on critical manufacturing know-how.
The company is building a pilot production line at its Sanand factory in Gujarat. Agratas plans to manufacture both LFP and NMC cells for domestic
and international markets. Commercial production of these batteries is expected to begin in the coming years.
