Karnataka Home Minister Priyank Kharge has rejected the BJP and JD(S)'s demand for his resignation, sarcastically saying he would resign only after they staged a 25-day hunger strike and faced a lathi charge. Kharge also questioned why former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and the then Home Minister did not resign during the PSI recruitment scam.
Meanwhile, the BJP continues to accuse the Congress government of failing job aspirants, while the state government insists the confusion was limited to a single examination centre and affected only a small number of candidates.
