Hundreds of students in Ranchi, Jharkhand, have launched an indefinite satyagraha at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium, protesting against alleged paper leaks, corruption, evaluation errors, and delayed recruitment in JPSC and JSSC examinations. Devendra Nath Mahto has started an indefinite hunger strike, demanding a CBI and ED investigation into recruitment scams, cancellation of tainted exam results, and a time-bound recruitment calendar.
The agitation has gained political backing, with Kokrajhar Janta Party founder Abhijit Dipke supporting the protesters and the BJP demanding Chief Minister Hemant Soren's resignation along with an immediate CBI probe into the exam irregularities.
