LeT Operative Rizwan Hanif Alleges 'Indian Agents' Killed 30+ Outfit Members In Pakistan, PoK (Screengrab from viral video on X) A recent speech by Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander Rizwan Hanif has drawn attention after he claimed that more than 30 members of the outfit had been killed in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) over the past three to four years. The remarks have revived Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s past “Ghar mein ghus ke marenge" statement, although Hanif did not provide evidence to support his allegations. LeT commander makes claims In his speech, Hanif claimed that “unknown gunman model" was being used to target LeT members inside Pakistan.
He alleged that India was behind the killings, claiming that more than 30 members of the outfit had been killed during the past three to four years. According to Hanif, the incidents took place in Peshawar, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Rawalakot and Muzaffarabad. He also alleged that jihadis were being targeted in Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Hanif claimed that those killed were members of the outfit and referred to them as “brothers". He did not provide evidence for the allegation that India was responsible. Religious remarks during speech During the address, Hanif also made inflammatory remarks about other religions. He said, “What is our crime? Our only crime is that we believe in La ilaha illallah. We are not worshippers of Hanuman, Ghanshyam, Hari Ram, cows, or calves." He went on to make further derogatory remarks, saying that “the oppressive Hindu wants cow worship on this earth" before adding that only the worship of Allah would prevail.
Hanif also declared, “Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest. There is no god but Allah." Towards the end of his speech, he said, “America is not great, Israel is not great, and no oppressor is great." “Ghar mein ghus ke marenge" Hanif’s allegations have been linked by some commentators and social media users to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s earlier “Ghar mein ghus ke marenge" remark. The LeT commander claimed that attacks on members of the outfit had taken place at multiple locations inside Pakistan and PoK over the last several years. He alleged that India was behind the killings and described them as part of an “unknown gunman model", but did not present evidence to support the claim.
