The Ranchi students' agitation over the 14th JPSC Preliminary Examination has entered its sixth day, with protesters demanding that the exam be scrapped and a CBI probe ordered into alleged irregularities. As student leader Devendra Nath Mahto begins an indefinite hunger strike, questions are being raised over the political response. While the CJP has extended support through a video call and promised to join later, the BJP has accused the Congress of selective activism, pointing to its vocal backing of student protests in Delhi while limiting its support in Jharkhand to sending breakfast boxes.
