The meeting focused on the prevailing security situation and reviewed the recent attacks in the two south Kashmir districts.

Background The security review comes days after two non-local labourers were killed in a terror attack in Kulgam, while a police personnel was shot dead in a separate attack in Anantnag, prompting security agencies to step up anti-terror operations and surveillance across Kashmir. The latest review forms part of the police’s ongoing efforts to reassess security preparedness and strengthen preventive measures in the wake of recent militant activity in the Valley.
