The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) on Monday (August 3, 2026) launched a series of grama sabhas (meetings) in capital villages to prepare village circulation and integration plans as part of the Amaravati Master Plan. The first meetings were held at Abbarajupalem and Rayapudi in the North-West Grid. The consultations were organised to familiarise residents with the proposed village road circulation plan, integration plan and the road network envisaged under the Amaravati Master Plan while seeking suggestions from local communities before finalising the proposals.
APCRDA officials explained how the existing village roads would be integrated with the proposed road network in the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) zones. They also outlined plans for strengthening infrastructure to meet future development needs and improve connectivity between villages and the capital city. Officials said detailed surveys of the existing village road circulation pattern and the proposed LPS road network were being undertaken to collect comprehensive data.
The findings would be used to prepare effective village circulation and integration plans and support future infrastructure development. Residents shared their suggestions and views on the proposed plans during the meetings. APCRDA officials said the feedback would be examined before finalising the plans for each village. According to the authority, grama sabhas will be conducted in all Amaravati capital villages in phases.
Officials from the Planning, Development Promotion, Social Development and Estates wings of APCRDA, along with technical experts from The Urbaniser, will participate in the consultations and interact directly with residents to gather their inputs.
