Students in Ranchi have gathered at the Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium to launch an indefinite satyagraha, protesting against alleged recruitment scams, paper leaks, and systemic corruption in state public service commission and staff selection commission examinations. Drawing parallels with recent youth demonstrations in Delhi, the protesters are demanding accountability, time-bound exam calendars, transparent recruitment processes, and an independent investigation by central agencies into exam irregularities.
Demonstrators have raised national flags and vowed to continue their hunger strike until their demands for fair examinations are fulfilled by the state government. Meanwhile, opposition political parties have extended support to the ongoing youth movement, escalating pressure on the state administration. The opposition has demanded the resignation of the chief minister, citing moral responsibility for recurring exam delays, OMR discrepancies, and recruitment corruption affecting thousands of job aspirants across the state.
