(Image: @RSS/YT/PTI) Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat will interact with members of Generation Z and Generation Alpha at a youth conference in Mumbai on August 6, organisers announced on Sunday. According to a press release, the event will be held at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) and will bring together around 2,000 students aged 15 to 19 from more than 100 cities across India. The programme marks the 15th anniversary of India’s International Movement to Unite Nations (I.I.M.U.N.) and the inaugural ceremony of its Annual Championship Conference.

Theme To Focus On Youth, Leadership And Nation-Building The inaugural ceremony will be centred on the theme, “The Role of Youth in Uniting the World, the Indian Way." Bhagwat’s address will formally open the Annual Championship Conference, where students are expected to debate and deliberate on local, national and international issues. According to the organisers, I.I.M.U.N. conducts more than 100 conferences annually and several civic engagement initiatives for students aged 11 to 24. Organisers Highlight Importance Of Youth Dialogue Commenting on the event, Rishabh Shah, Founder of I.I.M.U.N., said the conference aims to encourage dialogue with young people. “Leadership is not only about guiding the next generation, but also listening to it. At this critical juncture in India’s journey, we need this dialogue more than ever before. I am grateful to Shri Mohan Bhagwat ji for accepting our invite to address this gathering at this critical juncture." Founded in 2011, I.I.M.U.N. describes itself as a public affairs platform focused on leadership, civic engagement and public policy among young people. The organisation says its programmes now span 275 cities in India and 40 countries, reaching over 7.5 crore young people through partnerships with more than 1.5 lakh schools and colleges. According to the press release, the organisation has hosted 32 Heads of State, Nobel laureates, Academy Award winners and over 34,000 speakers from around the world over the past 15 years. It also states that its advisory board includes personalities from public life, business, law, the armed forces and the arts.
