Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and his wife Janaki Shukla offered prayers at the Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad on Monday as part of the Ashada Masam Bonalu festivities. They offered a bonam and silk garments to the presiding deity in accordance with tradition, and participated in special prayers at the temple.
During the visit, the Governor prayed for the well-being, peace and good health of the people of Telangana. He also sought the blessings of the goddess for abundant rainfall, good crops and the prosperity of the farming community.
He also prayed for Telangana to continue progressing on the path of development and wished for happiness and prosperity in every household across the State.
Endowments Department Commissioner M. Hanumantha Rao, Hyderabad District Collector Priyanka Ala and representatives of the temple committee were among those present during the visit.
