Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan has dismissed criticism regarding viral pictures showing him attending a feast during the flood situation. He stated that he was continuously coordinating with necessary ministers, district collectors, MLAs, and officials from 5:00 AM. He questioned whether previous Chief Ministers fasted during past disasters in 2018 and 2019, calling the allegations slander.
Satheesan clarified that after verifying that ministers were present on the spot and his presence was not immediately required, he attended his scheduled program and ate lunch at 3:00 PM at a friend's house in Ponnani. He maintained that he was working around the clock to track developments and rejected demands for an apology.
