Senior Congress leader and si time MLA Dinesh Gundu Rao expressed public disappointment following his exclusion from the newly expanded Karnataka cabinet. The son of a former Chief Minister, Gundu Rao previously held portfolios including Health as well as Food and Civil Supplies, alongside serving as KPCC president and AICC general secretary.
His exclusion, alongside fellow Brahmin leader Harvedesh Pandey, raised concerns regarding caste-based calculations in cabinet appointments. Despite his dissatisfaction over being dropped without explanation after years of service to the party, Gundu Rao affirmed he will continue working for the Congress party and serving the people.
