The closure applies to all classes from Nursery to Class 12. EXAMS TO BE HELD AS PER SCHEDULE The order also extends to colleges, universities and technical institutions, both government and private.
However, institutions where examinations have already been scheduled may continue conducting them as per the existing timetable. Apart from such examinations, all higher educational institutions will remain closed from August 4 to 12. The administration said the decision was taken due to heavy movement of Kanwar pilgrims on major routes during the holy month of Shravan. This year's Shravan Shivratri will be observed on August 11, when large crowds of devotees are expected across the district.
Authorities have directed all institutions to strictly comply with the closure order and ensure necessary arrangements during the holiday period. Ends
