A 30-year-old teacher was brutally stabbed to death inside a private school in Haryana’s Faridabad on Monday after a masked man allegedly dragged her out of her classroom and attacked her with a knife in broad daylight.
According to police, the accused covered his face with a white cloth before entering the school premises through the main gate between 9:30 am and 9:40 am. He reportedly waited inside the campus for a short while and then asked school staff about the teacher. Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Kewal Singh of the Sector-58 police station said that as soon as the teacher came out, the assailant dragged her and launched a frenzied knife attack. Police said the victim suffered 18 to 20 stab wounds, with the attacker repeatedly targeting her neck and chest. Investigators said the accused continued stabbing the teacher even as her colleagues rushed to help after hearing her screams.
The attacker allegedly chased them away before attacking her again until she collapsed. The injured teacher was immediately taken to Al-Falah Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Police said the victim was a mother of two. After carrying out the attack, the assailant fled the scene before police arrived. Investigators said CCTV footage capturing the incident has surfaced, and efforts are underway to identify and arrest the accused. Police are examining the footage and other evidence as part of the investigation. The motive behind the killing is yet to be established, and police have not disclosed the identity of the attacker.
