Personal security personnel handed over a knife retrieved from the scene to the police station for evidence. Allegations were raised that an attempt was made on the MP's life during a press conference.
Chaos erupted after a shoe was thrown, leading supporters to confront two individuals, Sumit and Happy Sharma, who arrived at the location in a Creta car. Sumit was detained at the spot while Happy Sharma fled and later stated that no weapons were brought inside, noting that security checks and metal detectors were cleared prior to entry. The individuals claimed they questioned the MP regarding religious matters before being assaulted by supporters.
