Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital of Srikakulam district has conducted 2,018 surgeries and extended its medical support to 9,638 patients between April and July months of 2026, Managing Trustee and CEO of the hospital group A. Bangar Raju stated in a release. According to them, the hospital ensured operations without any charges for nearly 90% of the patients of remote areas of Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts. Kumar said that the hospital will hold around 250 medical camps in remote areas of Palakonda, Parvatipuram, Bobbili, Amadalavalasa, Burja, Tekkali and other places in August, September and October months.
He said that usage of advanced technology and installation of new Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) equipment enabled the doctors and medical teams to deliver the quick service to the
patients. Raju said that the hospital was extending free medical support to needy patients even if they were not covered under the Aarogyasri health scheme of the State government.
