In an exclusive interview with India Today, Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), outlined the trajectory of his youth movement following a 36-day student protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The nationwide demonstrations culminated in the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Dipke, who returned to India from the United States, detailed the police action on July 20 at Jantar Mantar as the primary catalyst for mobilizing public support.
Addressing allegations regarding political backing and foreign funding, Dipke denied receiving resources or strategy from the Aam Aadmi Party or any other political entity. He confirmed that the CJP will operate as a political pressure group rather than a formal political party. During the discussion, Dipke addressed activist Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike, rejecting claims of a leadership rift while pointing to government interference.
