According to Iranian officials, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held urgent consultations with counterparts and senior leaders from Pakistan, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia to discuss the rapidly evolving regional security situation and the implications of recent U.S. actions.
During his interaction with Pakistan’s Field Marshal and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Araghchi warned against what Iran described as destabilising actions by the United States and cautioned that any further military adventurism could deepen insecurity across the region. The Iranian Foreign Minister reiterated that the Islamic Republic remains fully prepared to defend its national sovereignty, territorial integrity and security, stressing that Tehran would respond decisively to any military aggression against the country. In a separate conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister, Araghchi reviewed the latest developments in the Middle East and discussed what Tehran termed ongoing “conspiracies" and aggressive regional moves that, according to Iran, threaten regional stability. Iran also urged mediators, interlocutors and regional countries not to cooperate with what it described as hostile actions by the United States and Israel, warning that such moves could further inflame tensions and undermine diplomatic efforts.
The discussions between Araghchi and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan focused on the broader geopolitical consequences of recent U.S. actions, with both sides exchanging views on the risks of further instability in the region. Iran has maintained that it will hold responsible all parties that, in its view, contribute to or encourage military escalation in the Middle East, while continuing diplomatic engagements with regional capitals in an effort to prevent a wider conflict. The latest round of consultations comes amid renewed uncertainty over the future of U.S.-Iran relations, with diplomatic efforts continuing even as military and political rhetoric between Tehran, Washington and Israel remains elevated.
