Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy has started focusing on improving civic amenities and public infrastructure in the remote parts of his Atmakur constituency in SPSR Nellore district. The far-flung Marripadu Mandal, located in a corner of his constituency abutting the adjoining Kadapa district, gained attention when he inaugurated the classroom and laboratory buildings at the Kasturba School and Junior College on Saturday (August 1, 2026).
Reddy has often found it difficult to focus on major projects in his constituency in view of his pressing engagements pertaining to his Endowments portfolio, which has been witnessing large scale development in the last two years, be it in the form of nomination of members to the various temple trust boards or renovation and consecration ceremonies for the temples that remained dilapidated for long.
It was in this backdrop that Mr. Reddy had chosen to personally visit the school to declare open the facilities created with a whopping investment of ₹2.54 crore. Interestingly, the students who accorded him a rousing reception were also made to
declare the facilities open alongside the Minister formally. Marking the occasion, Mr. Reddy also shared the midday meal along with the students, which indirectly provided him an opportunity to check the quality of meal served to the students in the countryside.
