'PM Modi Should Adopt My Daughter': Mother Of Noida Teen Alleges Rape Threats, Seeks Protection Published By, Last Updated: August 02, 2026, 10:40 IST The mother of the 15-year-old who apologised for making objectionable remarks against PM Modi has sought security and condemned rape and death threats against her daughter. The mother of the teenager appealed for security, withdrawal of the FIR and protection from online threats after Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the country to forgive and guide the "misguided children." (Video screengrabs/IANS) The mother of the 15-year-old girl who apologised for making objectionable remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed for protection, withdrawal of the FIR against her daughter and a safe place to live, saying the family is facing threats and has been unable to return to normal life, adding the Prime Minister should adopt her daughter. Her remarks come a day after Prime Minister Modi appealed to the country to forgive the “misguided children" involved in the incident and guide them instead of subjecting them to legal or social harassment. The mother’s statement also follows the teenager’s second public apology, in which she thanked the Prime Minister for his message, admitted she had made a “huge mistake", and said she would spend her life trying to become a better citizen. ‘We Cannot Live In Our Own Home’ Speaking to reporters, the mother said the family has been forced out of its normal surroundings after the controversy. “We are facing this problem because of the police. We are not able to live in the society where we used to stay and around our own home," she said.
She urged the authorities to ensure the family’s safety and provide them with a secure place to stay. Appeals For Security And Withdrawal Of FIR The mother also requested that the FIR lodged against her daughter be withdrawn. “The FIR has not been withdrawn yet. We request that the FIR be withdrawn," she said. Making an emotional appeal about her daughter’s future, she said the teenager should receive her rightful place in her late father’s home. “We should be provided a place to live. The Prime Minister should adopt my daughter. My daughter’s father is no longer alive, and she deserves her rights. Every daughter gets a place in her father’s home. My daughter and son should live together in the same house, and they should get their rightful share. If she were in her own home…" she said. Condemns Rape And Death Threats The mother said her daughter’s mistake should not become an excuse for people to issue violent threats online. “Look at social media and see the kind of filthy comments being made. Are those people right who are telling a 15-year-old girl that four people should rape her? Their IDs are there. My daughter made one mistake, but you are making such disgusting remarks. Is all this right?" she asked. But today, I am not happy that such people are threatening to rape and kill a child," she said.
