According to the police, the deceased was identified as Sanjeev Yadav, an associate operator at Denso and a native of Amritsar, who had been living with his wife and seven-year-old son in Gurugram. The incident came to light on Thursday (July 30), when Sanjeev was found hanging inside his house. At the time of the incident, only his wife, Manpreet Kaur, and their seven-year-old son were present at home. The couple’s seven-year-old son allegedly recorded a video on his mobile phone while watching his father hanging, even as his mother screamed for someone to take him down, it was known.
Sanjeev’s sister, Kiran, alleged that there had been ongoing disputes between her brother and his wife and claimed that Manpreet had been seeking a divorce. Kiran asserted that had it not been for the marital discord, her brother would not have taken such an extreme step. She demanded that the circumstances surrounding his death be thoroughly investigated. She further questioned the suicide theory, saying she found the alleged video showing Sanjeev hanging from a ceiling fan suspicious, particularly because, according to her, her brother weighed more than 100 kilograms. “My brother did not die by suicide," she alleged, insisting that investigators examine every aspect of the case. Sanjeev’s father, Ramsevak Yadav, also expressed suspicion over the circumstances of his son’s death. According to news agency PTI, he claimed that disputes between the couple had been continuing for some time and alleged that his daughter-in-law had conspired with accomplices to murder Sanjeev. Acting on the complaint lodged by the deceased’s family, police detained Manpreet Kaur and initiated an investigation into the allegations. Love Marriage After Meeting At Workplace According to the police, Sanjeev and Manpreet Kaur, who is a resident of Ambala, first met around eight years ago while both were working at Denso in Gurugram.
